An elderly woman was killed when she was hit by a car at an intersection in southwest Sydney.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Fifth and Eighth Avenue in Campsie at 2.15pm on Saturday following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
Paramedics attempted to treat the 83-year-old woman, but she died at the scene.

A 23-year-old man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, was not injured.
He was taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are investigating the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner.
