A man has been charged over a woman’s fatal fall from a 10th floor balcony at a Sydney hotel.
Jodie Lovell, 45, fell to her death three years ago on at the Hyatt Regency in Sussex St.
Emergency services were called to the hotel about 8pm on May 22 in 2020 to reports a woman had fallen from a balcony.

Lovell’s body was then located on a level one rooftop.
Her boyfriend told detectives he had locked the mother-of-two outside on the balcony following an argument.

NSW Police at the time used a dummy to recreate the circumstances, saying they owed it to her daughters to thoroughly investigate the matter.
A 51-year-old Riverwood man was arrested at an Engadine home about 9am on Tuesday.
He has now been charged with taking or detaining a person with the intent to obtain an advantage (domestic violence).
He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Sutherland Local Court on January 12.
