It was a “chaotic” scene, NSW Ambulance Inspector Dominic Wong said.
“We treated a total number of seven patients, with injuries ranging from head injuries (and) chest injuries,” he said.
“Some patients were in serious conditions and others were walking, minor.”
Patients were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St George Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the Ford Ranger was arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station to assist police with their inquiries.
He was later released without charge.
Investigations by the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit are ongoing.
