A multi-vehicle crash closed a major section of Sydney’s M4 during peak hour traffic on Monday.
The crash temporarily closed two of three westbound lanes at Beresford Rd about 7am.
Five cars were involved in the crash, a NSW Police spokesperson said.

One person was treated for an ankle injury and transported to Westmead Hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said.

Heavy traffic built up as a result, with major delays back to Auburn.
All westbound lanes have since re-opened.
Emergency services remain on-scene on the shoulder of the road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time for their trip.
