A 26-year-old man was transported to Concord Hospital, where he died.

At the same time, a 21-year-old man, who attended the same festival, was treated by paramedics at a hotel on George Street in Sydney’s CBD before being transported to St Vincent’s Hospital.

The man later died, and police were then called.

Separate investigations are underway into the men’s deaths, and reports will be prepared for the coroner.

The Australian Festival Association has been contacted for comment.

Drug busts

About 53,000 people attended the Knockout music festival, where 27 people were busted with drugs.

All 27 were charged with possessing a prohibited drug and another four with supplying a prohibited drug.

In one instance, a 26-year-old man who initially ran from police was found with 491 MDMA pills, four grams of cocaine and cash after a positive drug detection from a sniffer dog.
