Two people stabbed in Newington apartment in Sydney’s west during alleged domestic incident

Two people have been rushed to hospital following an alleged stabbing at a home in Sydney’s west.

A 90-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman were located inside the Newington apartment with stab wounds about 3am after reports of a domestic incident.

The man suffered stab wounds to his neck and was transported to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The woman suffered stab wounds to her hands and is understood to have had a heart attack during the incident.

She was also transported to Westmead Hospital.

NSW Police remain on the scene.
